Barton CCC welcome meal
Trinity UMC teamed up with First UMC to provide a meal to the fall athletes who arrived in August before the cafeteria opened. We provided pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon and dessert to between 55 and 65 people. Good luck to the BCCC teams!
Back to School
We again collected school supplies to help our friends at Lincoln Elementary School across the street. We packed two backpacks for each grade K-6 for Lincoln to use for those few students who get to school with no supplies at all. Thanks to all who contributed and helped!
Operation Christmas Child
We were able to pack 22 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The boxes were prayed over before they were delivered to the Church of the Nazarene and were prayed over again when they were delivered. Thanks to all who donated and/or helped pack. We'll be able to see what country the boxes go to in mid-December.

Barton CCC New Year's meal
Trinity UMC treated the Barton CCC students to a New Year's day meal at Trinity. Students were served their choice of chili or chicken noodle soup, rolls, veggies, and, of course, some really great desserts. Around 35 students were served and our members enjoyed visiting with them.
August - TUMC Food Bank month
August is Trinity's month to help man the Barton County Food bank. Two volunteers helped each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:45 - 3:15 to help sack food for the food bank clients. We also collected food and monetary donations to help them.
9th Annual Coat Drive
"Thank you!" to our very generous community for donating roughly 525 coats, jackets and various other things!
"Thank you!" to Master Cleaners for cleaning all those items!
"Thank you! to the Ellinwood organization Live Like Jesus Today who took the remaining items to Wichita to be distributed to homeless there!
"Thank you!" to the Great Bend Tribune for two front page articles that helped us publicize the event!
"Thank you!" to the Eagle Communications for airing Public Service Announcements for us!
"Thank you!" to First Christian Church for loaning us the clothing racks to neatly display the coats!
"Thank you!" to the USD and Central Kansas Christian Academy schools for allowing us to use them as drop off points!
"Thank you!" to Benefit Management, LLC for copying flyers!
The coats were prayed over and we pray that God will bless the lives of each person who helped and especially each person who received a coat or other item. May God warm your body and soul!
If you missed out, we look forward to holding our 10th annual drive next year! We will be collecting in September and giving out the first part of October. No date has been set yet.
